Jyothy Laboratories Q2 net profit jumps 61% to Rs 32 cr

Home and personal care firm Jyothy Laboratories Ltd (JLL) today reported a 61.14 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 32.02 crore for the second quarter ended September 30.
It had posted a net profit of Rs 19.87 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Net sales for the quarter under review stood at Rs 433.49 crore, up 6.63 per cent, as against Rs 406.5 crore in the same period last year, Jyothy Laboratories said in a BSE filing.
During the quarter, JLL's revenues from dishwashing business grew by 12.18 per cent at Rs 129.87 crore, while revenue of fabric care business increased by 3.26 per cent to Rs 175.99 crore.
Its revenue from household insecticides business during the quarter grew by 4.71 per cent to Rs 67.57 crore, while revenue of personal care business increased marginally by 1.36 per cent to Rs 36.48 crore.
Jyothy Laboratories' brands include Margo, Henko, Ujala and Exo.

In a separate filing, the company's Board of Directors approved raising of funds up to Rs 500 crore through issuance of fresh non-convertible debentures on private placement basis subject to approval of the shareholders of the company and redemption of 4,000 zero coupon, secured, redeemable non-convertible debentures aggregating to Rs 400 crore.
