The project costing Rs 3,500 crore would come up on 13,327 acres, Minister for Law T B Jayachandra told reporters after the Cabinet meeting.
He said 3,598 acres had already been acquired.
The project would generate 80,000 direct jobs and create 1,60,000 more indirectly, Jayachandra said.
The report has been prepared by Karnataka State Small Industries Development Corporation.
