"The feeling is yet to sink in. Getting one of India's oldest awards for a mass entertainer is second to getting audience adulation after a show or during premier," Ankush told PTI on the sidelines of the award ceremony attended by a host of celebrities.
While the Eskay movie productions was the best film in 2014, the two lead pairs individually were adjudged the Best Actor (Male and Female) respectively.
In the entertainment segment, promising singer Ujjaini Mukherjee, having wooed audiences with her renditions in Arindam Sil's back-to-back flicks Abarto and Ebar Shabor, got the honours as a live performer who can gauge people's pulses.
"The upcoming film Dirty Politics mirrors the journey of a mall town girl and I am awaiting for the response," Mallika said.
Previously luminaries like Aparna Sen, Soumitra Chatterjee, Victor Banerjee, Rupa Ganguly, Rituparna Sengupta, Prosenjit, Tapas Paul, Usha Uthup, Koel Mallick, Jeet, Moon Moon Sen, Dev had been recipientfs of the award.
