The makers of the movie stated that the film is not hitting the theatres of the southern state as they find the content of the Chaitanya Tamhane's film "sensitive, political, and risky".
"Shocked, dismayed but mostly sad that @CourtTheFilm is not showing in cinemas in Bangalore because of regional politics," the "Margarita With A Straw" star posted on Twitter.
The courtroom drama has, however, released in over 150 screens across India on April 17.
