Kallol Roy takes over as CMD of BHAVINI

Kallol Roy, scientist in the Department of Atomic Energy, has taken over as Chairman and Managing Director of Bharatiya Nabhikya Vidyut Nigam Ltd (BHAVINI) at Kalpakkam, about 70 km from here.
BHAVINI, one of the prestigious companies of the Department of Atomic Energy, has undertaken construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of 500 MWe Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor at Kalpakkam, an official release
Prior to taking up his new role, Roy had served Bhaba Atomic Research Centre (BARC) as Head, Research Reactor Maintenance Division, Reactor Group.
He replaces Perumal Chellapandi, who attained superannuation earlier.
Roy, an alumini from Regional Engineering College, Calicut, has a Doctorate in Fault Diagnostics from IIT-Bombay.

He has specialised in the field of Total Maintenance Management of Reactors, Upgrade and Retrofit of Systems and computer based systems, among others, it added.
