Kalpataru Power shares surge nearly 6% on order wins

Shares of engineering firm Kalpataru Power Transmission (KPTL) today surged nearly 6 per cent after the company secured new orders worth Rs 871 crore.
The stock gained 5.89 per cent to end at Rs 507.15 on BSE. Intra-day, it soared 11.70 per cent to Rs 535.
On NSE, shares of the company jumped 5.42 per cent to close at Rs 506.35.
The company received an order for design, supply and construction of substations and associated transmission line work from APTRANSCO for Rs 282 crore, Kalpataru Power said in a statement yesterday.
It has bagged another order for 400 kV double circuit transmission line from Power Grid Company of Bangladesh and an order for 132 kV transmission line from Nepal Electricity Authority totalling approximately Rs 100 crore.
It has also received design, supply, testing and commissioning of railway electrification work for Rs 123 crore from CORE, and another order of pipeline augmentation work in Rajasthan for Rs 366 crore from a private client.
