Model-turned-actress Simran Kaur Mundi looks upto Kangana Ranaut for inspiration and says the 'Queen' star is a very genuine person.
"I love Kangana Ranaut. I think she is just phenomenal because I think she has seen everything and comes from nowhere. She had no backing, whatever she is today is on her own," Simran told PTI in an interview here.
"She has seen her share of struggle, she has seen her ups and downs in life. She is very real... Today everybody is so fake and making diplomatic statements... But she is one genuine person," she said.
Simran of "Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi" will be next seen in Abbas-Mustan's "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karu".
Somebody had recommended Simran's name for this film to the director-duo.
"When I met them (Abbas Mustan) within half hour they started talking about the budgets and about the role and the contract. There was no look test or auditions... I was just selected for the film," she said.

"This film was the fastest role that I have got till date and I think that's what happens when you have experienced directors they just look at the person and can place them in the character that they are looking for," she added.
The film also stars Arbaaz Khan, Varun Sharma, Supriya Pathak, Manjari Phadnis, Elli Avram and Sai Lokur.
"I had my reservations in doing a multi-starrer film because of the catfights. All the girls are sweet and helpful and this comes with the sense of security each of our characters are very different from each other," the former Miss India said.
Standup comedian-turned-actor Kapil Sharma makes his debut in Bollywood with "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karu" and Simran plays Kapil's wife in the film.
Initially, Simran was very nervous doing the film with Kapil, who according to her is the king of comedy.
"I was worried initially, but when we did our first scene he started talking in Punjabi and we connected instantly...We got friendly and all my stress went off," she said.
Simran was all praises for her co-star and says that she learnt a lot about comedy from him.
"He is very helpful and helps you to improvise your lines. I have learnt a lot from him because with him it's not about the lines, it's about the way you say it that makes it funny and that's one thing that I have learnt from him," she adds.
"As far as comedy is concerned, this film is not a forced comedy... It's what is happening that is comic, the situation is comic," Simran said.
