Kanpur administration opens Facebook, Twitter accounts
Press Trust of India Kanpur The district administration has decided to join social media networking sites of Facebook and Twitter, in a bid to connect better with the people and get direct feedbacks from them on development of the city.
The main objective behind joining the social media was to directly interact with the people, resolve their problems and get feedback on development works being done, District Magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma said in a release here today.
Sharma said that he himself will keep an eye on the problems mentioned by people on the Twitter and Facebook account 'DM Kanpur City' and try to get them resolved at the earliest.
The District Magistrate noted that the people should suggest ways to the administration about eradicating encroachment, providing basic facilities, improving the level of education et al through the platform.
