Kapur ideally placed after two rounds at Qatar Masters

Indian golfer Shiv Kapur, determined to make up for the missed cut in his opening start in 2015 on the European Tour season, carded a flawless four-under 68 to go with his first round 70 after 36 holes in the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, here today.
At six-under 136, he was ideally placed, only three shots behind joint leaders at the halfway stage of the tournament.
Kapur was lying tied 10th, but there were still some players out on the course yet to finish their second round.
Kapur, a two-time winner on European Challenge Tour, looking for his breakthrough win on the main Tour, had a two-under 70 with three birdies and a bogey in first round and he had four birdies against no bogeys in the second.
Among those yet to finish the round was Jeev Milkha Singh, a four-time winner on European Tour, which is the most by any Indian, shot two-under 70 in the first round and was even par after two birdies and a double bogey through 12 holes.
Meanwhile, George Coetzee (68-67) and Bernd Weisberger (69-66) shared the lead at nine-under through two rounds.
Overnight leader, Oliver Fisher (65-73) slipped down after a great first round.
Defending champion Garcia had a pair of 69s in the first two rounds.
