Karaikal industrial estate to get its first industry soon:CM

Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy today said the Industrial estate-cum-growth centre at Polagam in Karaikal district will get its first industrial establishment soon.
Declaring open an indoor sports stadium here, the Chief Minister said the Centre set up in an area of 600 acres, will have its first industry in 60 acres of land very soon.
He said government was in touch with several other industries and many of them would also be setting up their units there.
Referring to the sports stadium, Rangasamy said the state-of-the-art stadium had been constructed at a cost of Rs 13 crore. The stadium had been constructed in an area of 3600 sq meters, he said.

The chief minister also inaugurated a building constructed for the Road Transport Office, Karaikal at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore.
Referring to the flood relief amount disbursal, he said all eligible families will get the relief amount of Rs 4000 per family before February 15.
