A meeting of the executive committee of the PCC adopted several resolutions including one on the Cauvery issue.
The resolution said "the current extraordinary situation in Karnataka on Cauvery water issue has come to cause concern. Innocent Tamils have been attacked and their properties are damaged."
It requested the Karnataka government to take stern measures against 'perpetrators of violence' and ensure that Tamils were provided appropriate protection.
Another resolution pledged to put in a coordinated effort for the 'impressive' win in the bypoll that Narayanasamy would contest here to become an elected assembly membter.

The party would embark on public meetings to explain to people highlights of the budget presented by the Chief Minister in the House on August 29 for fiscal 2016-2017.
The meeting complimented the "people's friendly administration Chief Minister V Narayanasamy has been providing in Puducherry since assuming office 100 days ago."
The Chief Minister,his cabinet colleagues and legislators were among those who participated in the meeting held here under the chairmanship of PWD Minister and PCC president A Namassivayam.
