Karnataka beat Andhra Pradesh in group A

Karnataka defeated Andhra Pradesh 2-1 in a group A match of the 69th edition of Santosh trophy football tournament at the district sports council stadium in nearby Manjeri, today.
Mohammed Moazzam drew first blood by scoring for AP in the 41st minute.
Karnataka equalised two minutes later through a penalty kick by Vinodh Kumar. Then they surged ahead immediately after half time through a goal by K Gopi (47th min).
The score was 1-1 at the breather. Tamil Nadu takes on Puducherry in tomorrow's group B match.
