Referring to Jayalalithaa's recent demand in this connection with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Karunanidhi recalled that she had written to Singh in September last year demanding halting of work at the site in view of the anti-nuclear protests.
"The state cabinet also adopted an urgent resolution and subsequently works were suspended. In that way, she was responsible for the work coming to a halt there for eight months," he said.
By demanding allocation of the entire power, she was trying to "make-up for her earlier folly," he said.
