"It has been decided that DMK will not participate in the House proceedings and take the belligerent attitude of the AIADMK men to the people's court," he said here in a party release.
The ongoing session is the last one of the current 14th Tamil Nadu Assembly and it is scheduled to end on 20 February.
Earlier today, the House witnessed a ruckus after a ruling AIADMK member Markandeyan passed a remark on DMK treasurer Stalin's son-in-law Sabareesan.
Speaker P Dhanapal asserted that he could take action only after going through the records.As DMK members reiterated their demand repeatedly and argued with him,they were evicted.
Referring to the incident, Karunanidhi claimed that the AIADMK legislator's remarks were "unnecessary, personal and uncivilised." He also claimed that DMK members were denied permission to respond to remarks.
Also, Karunanidhi claimed that remarks against him and his family members by the ruling party men were allowed. "In this situation, it has been decided to not participate in the House proceedings," he said.
