"(Union) Ministry of Human Resource and Development has approved a residential coaching centre for the civil service aspirants of the state, which will be coming up soon, here in the university," Vice Chancellor of University of Kashmir Prof Talat Ahmad said at a seminar organised by Centre for Career Planning and Counselling (CCPC) for the civil services aspirants here yesterday.
The seminar was attended by hundreds of students from the varsity aspiring to crack the prestigious exam.
The Vice Chancellor said Kashmir University is also planning to invite some top civil service officials and others to the university in near future to aspire and motivate student of this university to go for this prestigious exam.
"Even Chancellor of University of Kashmir and Governor of the state N N Vohra has desired to spend time with the students," Prof Ahmad said.
While lauding the CCPC, he said the center is running with a goal to inspire more and more people for civil services and urged the students to take advantage of all the available facilities in the university to prepare themselves for this exam.
