"The Government of India and state government has failed to protect displaced Kashmiri Hindu employees from mob attacks and fear psychosis due to mob attacks, triggering their second migrant from valley. The government has failed to stop this migration", All Party Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) Chairman Vinood Pandita said today.
Flanked by the heads of 25 Kashmiri Hindu organisations and temple committees of the state, Pandita said "Does the Indian government want more Tika Lal Taploos, Lassa Kouls and Sarla among our youth employees to become martyrs in 2016 unrest and in future too?"
Over 26 Kashmiri Hindu Organisations, including Pann Kashmir, All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC), All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS), Kashmiri Pandit Sabha (KPS), Minority Cells office bearers of National Conference, Congress and BJP came out in support of the employees, who have been protesting for the past 22 days.
"Entire Kashmiri Pandit leadership came out in support of the agitating employees and vowed to intensify the protest if their demands are not met," he said.
Blaming the state government for betraying the people of the state, he said, "The PDP-BJP government has let down the Hindu community by not addressing their problems and instead activating its own administration to spread lies about the community."
Extending full support to the employees, they said, "No Hindu employee will return to Valley unless the government comes out with a comprehensive return plan for entire Pandit community".
