Tourism Minister Ghulam Ahmad Mir, while meeting a group of Kashmiris in London today, asked the NRIs to be the brand ambassadors of their state in the countries they live.
Kashmir is as safe as London, or, for that matter, any other country in Europe, Mir said.
"We know that tourism is one of the major binding forces for spreading friendship and uniting souls. All of us have to act as tourism ambassadors and try our best to unite those parts of the world which are still less connected," he said.
Mir said that Jammu and Kashmir is known as a heaven on earth which provides all facilities to the tourists.
He said the state has explored new tourist destinations and J&K is round-the-year tourism hotspot with facilities like attractive golf courses and convention centres.
The Tourism Minister expressed satisfaction at the outcome of J&K's participation in recent WTM in London, and hoped that Jammu and Kashmir will succeed in attracting tourists from the UK in the coming season.
