Directors' Fortnight, a parallel section of Cannes Film Festival, will screen 20 other films apart from Kashyap's 'Ugly'.

He has directed one of the segments of 'Bombay Talkies' which features four short films by Kashyap, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar and Dibakar Banerjee. The film will have its gala screening at the festival that has invited India as the guest country to celebrate its 100 years of cinema this year.
'Dabba' (Lunchbox) and 'Monsoon Shootout' are co-produced by Anurag Kashyap and have been selected for Cannes Critics Week and Midnight Screening sections respectively.
Starring Irrfan Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles 'Dabba', is about a wrongly delivered lunchbox connects a housewife to a lonely man in the dawn of his life and they build a fantasy life together. Ritesh Batra has directed the film.
'Monsoon Shootout' by Amit Kumar again stars Siddiqui and is a thriller.
