Kaskar, along with his aides Israr Jamil Sayyed and Mumtaz Ejaj Shaikh, was produced before magistrate R T Ingle today.
The Crime Branch of the Thane Police had arrested Kaskar and others on September 19 for allegedly threatening a city- based builder in Dawood's name, and extorting money as well as four flats.
Prosecutor Rashmi Kshirsagar told the court that police were yet to arrest four shooters from Bihar whom the gang had hired to intimidate the builder.
He asked why should the investigation into this kind of offence take so much time.
The magistrate, however, agreed to extend police custody for the three arrested.
