Katsumi, Norde strike as Bagan go three points clear at top

Defending champions Mohun Bagan rode on strikes from Katsumi Yusa and Sony Norde to beat Mumbai FC 2-0 as they went three points clear at the top in the I-League football tournament here today.
Having started on the bench, Katsumi scored in the 34th minute while Haitian winger Norde clinched the issue in the 62nd minute.
It was Katsumi was brought down by Allan Dias down the right and Japanese took the free-kick. His shot was parried away but Norde finished it, making amneds for his earlier misses.
The goalpost came in the way of Bagan's third in the 75th minute after Norde stormed down the left wing before coming inside and setting Katsumi free.
The Japanese midfielder's angled shot towards the far corner beat Pawan but hit the post. Mohun Bagan have 25 points three points ahead of Bengaluru FC at the top of the table.
