C Narayana Reddy, popularly known as CiNaRe, passed away here in the early hours yesterday.
According to an official release, the CM who went to the residence of Narayana Reddy in the morning placed a wreath on the body and consoled the family members.
KCR said the government would take all measures so that the future generations will remember Narayana Reddy and his contributions to the literacy world.
"Dr Narayana Reddy was one personality that the Telangana state is proud of. I am conveying my sorrow and pain at the demise of the Jnanpith awardee. He was one literary figure who scaled many heights.
He instructed officials to arrange for the buses from all the district to enable his fans to participate during the last rites to be held at Maha Prasthanam in filmnagar here tomorrow.
