Dempo, who beat Prayag United 3-1 in the last match after Ranti Martins had given his side the lead, will be looking to keep the winning momentum going and keep the one-point lead over East Bengal at the top after the latter drew against Shillong Lajong FC in the ninth round.
With Rohan Ricketts looking settled upfront along with Ryuji Sueoka, Dempo's attack looks sharper and the visitors' defence will have a tough time in contending them.
With their midfield and defence complimenting each other well, Dempo looks a settled side, and Pune FC will have to work hard to buckle the free flow passing in the middle if they want to win tomorrow.
Pune FC also has put up a steady performance to remain unbeaten in the last six matches. And their coach Derrick Pereira will be looking to break Dempo's unbeaten run at home here tomorrow at the Nehru Stadium, which has always been the happy hunting ground for both the hosts as well as the visitors.
For Pune FC, Khantang Paite came from the bench to score two goals to down Salgaocar and take his team to fourth place with 17 points from nine matches.
"The boys are well-motivated to play against the champions, who are good in counter-attack, which we have to guard. We need to remain positive and sharp in the attack if we are to win tomorrow and extend the unbeaten run to seven matches," said Pereira.
"Our match against Dempo has been exciting and close. We are expecting to make couple of changes tomorrow and hope the team play to their potential," he added.
