BJP national vice-president Om Mathur today asked elected representatives of Uttar Pradesh to ensure that their parliamentary constituency offices are kept open and common man's grievances are addressed regularly.
"During an interaction with MPs, Mathur said all efforts should be made to resolve complaints and in their absence prominent persons should sit in the offices," BJP spokesperson Vijay Bahadur Pathak said.
State president Laxmikant Bajpai stressed that MPs should remain alert towards development works and make efforts to ensure that Central schemes reach common people in their respective areas, he said.
MPs from Bundelkhand, Kanpur and Awadh regions of the state had an interaction with Bajpai and Mathur, who is also the Uttar Pradesh in charge, the spokesperson said, adding the MLAs interacted with the leaders yesterday.
State general secretary (organisation) Sunil Bansal discussed organisational matters with the MPs.
"The MPs and MLAs said that public representatives were being ignored in implementation of schemes and complained that that UP government was discriminating in development schemes," Pathak said.
