KEF Holdings eyes Rs 3,000 cr revenue by 2018

Singapore-based KEF Holdings is eyeing to generate Rs 3,000 crore revenue by 2018 through the first off-site manufacturing facility it is setting up in Tamil Nadu, a top official said.
The company, as part of setting up the manufacturing facility, has inked a memorandum of understanding with the Tamil Nadu government and acquired one million square foot land at Krishnagiri, KEF Holdings Chairman, Faizal E Kottikollon said.
"We are building world's largest off-site manufacturing facility in KEF Industrial Park, Krishnagiri. Already, we have invested around Rs 390 crore. The plant will be inaugurated in December 2015," he told PTI.
The company would manufacture building components at the factory and assemble it on-site.
"We make schools, hospitals, IT buildings. It takes a long time to construct in conventional way. Whatever it takes for three years for construction, we can do it in one year with much durability and higher quality," he said.
"The construction is going on (for the facility) ... In the second phase, we will be investing about Rs 260 crore. So totally, we will be investing around Rs 650 crore," he said.

The company, he said, would complete the second phase by 2017 and aims to generate Rs 3,000 crore revenues.
"In terms of revenues, we are looking at around Rs 3,000 crore annually by 2018. We have offices all over the world. In India, we have offices in Tamil Nadu and Bengaluru," he said.
To a query he said the company would provide over 1,000 jobs at the factory, he said.
