Kejriwal, Bhushan, Manish Sisodia, Gopal Rai, Kumar Vishwas and Sanjay Singh went to the Parliament Street Police Station this morning and met additional commissioner K C Dwivedi.

Before the meeting, Kejriwal told reporters that police was "harassing" the volunteers in the name of recording statements in connection with the cases registered on August 26 during their protest on coal block allocation.

"We will tell police to arrest us and not harass our volunteers. We will ask them why they are troubling our volunteers. We are responsible. We will accept the charges and we are ready to face the punishment," Kejriwal said.

He said police had charged them with rioting and defying prohibitory orders.

"We are ready for the punishment but our supporters should not be harassed, Kejriwal said.

An IAC spokesperson said police was recording the statements of all the six leaders under the relevant sections of IPC.
