Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today felicitated a group of NCC cadets who represented the national capital at various competitions across the country and won prizes.
Addressing the cadets at a ceremony held at the Delhi Secretariat, the CM said he was proud of their achievements.
"I look up to National Cadet Corps (NCC) for working towards a free and secular India beyond the barriers of caste, religion and gender," he said.
He urged the cadets to realise their full potential and help the country progress.
"I advise you to reject the status quo and demand a better future. You must work hard and educate yourself. I appeal to you all to read a lot and form your own opinions," Kejriwal said.
The CM also used the opportunity to ask all male cadets to respect women.
"This world is full of inequalities for women and the girl child. You have to fight the social evil of gender inequality.
