"Arvind Kejriwal's reaction on the police action against the demonstration organised by Yadav without intimating Delhi Police sounds too melodramatic and filmi," Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhayay said.
Earlier in the day, Kejriwal came out in support of Yogendra Yadav who was arrested along with 85 volunteers of his Swaraj Abhiyan during a protest on farmers' issue at the Jantar Mantar as police thwarted their planned rally to the Race Course.
"I appeal to Home Minister Rajnath Singh to interfere in this and ask for a report regarding the issue," Kejriwal said.
Further blaming Kejriwal of doing the same in the past, Upadhayay claimed, "Today Arvind Kejriwal is talking of democratic rights and condemning police action but people have not forgotten the barbaric treatment Kejriwal had himself met out to fellow comrade Yogendra Yadav while expelling him from Aam Aadmi Party at the Kapashera meet earlier this year."
"With this reaction Kejriwal's melodrama is exposed now," Upadhyay alleged.
