The young Indian cricketers beat Australia in the final match played at Mount Maunganui (New Zealand), by eight wickets to lift the U-19 Cricket World Cup for the record fourth time.
"Heartiest congratulations to India's U-19 Cricket team for winning the World Cup. Delhi boy Manjot Kalra has made all of us proud!," Kejriwal tweeted.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia too congratulated the team and Kalra.
Kalra emerged as the man for the big occasion, scoring a sublime 101 not out off 102 balls and anchoring the Indian innings after the loss of captain Prithvi Shaw and the team's leading scorer in the tournament, Shubman Gil.
