Kejriwal visits Balaji festival at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today visited a Balaji festival at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium and witnessed various rituals associated with the worship of the deity.
He lauded Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam for organising the 10-day 'Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavam' in Delhi and offering people in the national capital a chance to witness all the rituals and services performed at the Lord Balaji temple at Tirumala in Tirupati of Andhra Pradesh.
According to the organisers, the chief minister told them that his government would extend support and cooperation to the festival.
Kejriwal witnessed the 'Sahasra Deepalankara Seva' and the procession of Lord Balaji at a specially-built temple at the venue.
Over the next eight days, all daily rituals and Poojas (Nitya Poojas) associated with waking up Lord Venkateswara (Suprabhatam) to putting the Lord to sleep (Ekanta Seva) will be performed between 8 AM and 9 PM. Besides, a special service to the presiding deity of Tirumala will be performed daily, the organisers said.
