The 33-year-old Destiny's Child star said everyone gets back into their fit self at their own pace, reported People magazine.
"It takes about a year to get the weight off. Don't beat yourself up if it takes even longer. Write on your mirror in lipstick: 'I had a baby. I'm a superhero," Rowland said.
The actress welcomed 14-month-old son Titan Jewel with husband Tim Weatherspoon in November 2014 and for her it is important to exercise regularly.
"People think of exercise as tiring, but it actually gives you energy," she said.
