Kerala bags gold medal for best pavilion at IITF

Kerala bagged a gold medal for the best pavilion among States and Union Territories in the 36th India International Trade Fair, which concluded here today.
The silver medal for the second best pavilion went to the state of Gujarat.
Making it twice in a row, this is the eighth time that Kerala has bagged gold in the last 13 years.
On behalf of the state government,K Ampady, state Information and Public Relations director, received the award from L C Goyal, Chairman and Managing Director of India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) at a function held at the Shakunthalam Convention Centre at Pragati Maidan.
This year's theme of 'Digital India' was designed by Jinan, a noted artist from Kerala.
The winners were selected on the parameters of design and display, theme presentation, hygiene and dissemination of information.

"'Start-Up India' will be the theme for the next year's IITF," Goyal said during the award function, adding that next year too, ITPO will take place in Pragati Maidan, allaying apprehensions otherwise.
The award function saw the presence of Belarus Ambassador to India Vitali A Prima,A K Sinha, Officer on Special Duty,Shubhra Singh, ITPO Executive Director, and J Gunasekharan, ITPO General Manager.
The function was also attended by representatives of various participating states, from abroad, public sector undertakings and the private sector.
