Kerala Cabinet approves liquor policy for toddy shops

Kerala Cabinet today approved the liquor policy for toddy shops auction for the year 2014-15, state Minister for Excise K Babu said.
Auction of todday shops have to be completed before March 31 and that is the reason for announcing the policy now, Babu said in a statement here.
Auction would be held by taking five to seven shops as a group and one individual can bid only for two such groups, he said.
Among other things, he said shops would be allotted for a period of three years.
