This was disclosed by Kerala Sahitya Akademi (KKSA) secretary R Gopalakrishnan in a statement here today.
The Ezhuthachan Puraskaram has been instituted by the state government in honour of the father of the Malayalam language, Thunchath Ezhuthachan to respect litterateurs who contributed immensely for the overall growth and development of the mother tongue and its literature.
It consists of Rs 1.5 lakh, testimonial and plaque.
