Announcing the winners at a press conference here today, academy Secretary P V Krishnan Nair said the award would get a cash prize of Rs 30,000.
The best drama director award went to Rajesh Erulam.
The second outstanding performance drama award was shared by 'Kuriyedathu Thaathri' and 'Parakayapravesam', both getting a purse of Rs 10,000 each, Nair added.
Murkesh Kaakkur and Kalamandalam Sandhya Murukesh annexed the best actor and actress awards respectively.
Hemanth Kumar bagged the award for the best drama author and the second prize went to Cherunniyur Jayaprasad.
Harikrishnan and Praveena bagged the award for the best singer while Alappy Hrishikesh was adjudged best music director.
Other awardees: Ramesh Kaavil (music composer), Reji Gopinath and Poulose Johns (background music director), Vijayan Kaambari (stage decoration), Rajesh Irulam (light and sound), Kalanilayam Jayaprakash (costume/paraphernalia), N N Elayath (overall contribution for the growth and development of Malayalam theatre) and Prof. Thumbaman Thomas (best work on drama writing or staging for 'Paapavicharam in the C J's dramas').
