Kerala govt keen to put agri sector on new growth path

Kerala Chief Secretary C K Bharat Bhushan today stressed the need to have more dialogue between farmers, government and organisations like CII to, put the "state" agriculture in a new growth path.
Addressing a conference on value-added agriculture and food processing, he said the government will not spare any efforts to make the" made in Kerala brand" strategy a success.
KSIDC Managing Director Aruna Sunder Raj said both the government and the industry need to work closely with agriculture sector.
The KSIDC was committed to work closely with agriculture department to take the sector further the value chain, she said.
State Agriculture Secretary K R Jyothilal said department will give all help to the sector for rolling out the made in kerala products from the state.
Shyam Srinivasan, Chairman of CII Kerala, and Managing Director, Federal bank, Navas Meeran CII (SR) Chairman were among those who spoke.
