'Kerala Green' painting exhibition to be held in Abu Dhabi
Press Trust of India Dubai A painting exhibition, showcasing a unique collection of 34 works prepared at an art camp in Kerala by artists from a number of south Asian countries like India, Pakistan and Afghanistan, will be held in the UAE this week.
The 'Kerala Green' painting exhibition is being organised by the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi inside its premises for three days from September 25.
It will showcase a unique collection of 34 paintings which were prepared in an Art camp held in Kovalam in Thiruvananthapuram in February 2011 by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations.
The collection comprised paintings by artists from the south Asian countries including India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
The paintings depicting versatile themes and moods were prepared by noted artists including Achuthan Kudallur, Ajay Lal, Amber Hammad, Aminath Shemanie Shareef, Aminath Sofeenaz, Amitava Das, Avijit Dutta, Choney Pelzang, Dorji Wangchuk, Dumith Kulasekara, Gopi Gajwani, Inoka De Silva, Kazi Nasir, Joshi Kirti Kaushal, Kyi Win, and Mir Mohammad Ali Talpur among others.
