Replying to a submission of G Sudhakaran (CPI-M), Chennithala said all political parties in the state are in agreement that Madani should be given humanitarian treatment and the trial should be speeded up.
Chennithala, however, said the State had limitations as proceedings in the case were being held in Karnataka.
Madani's issue was taken up by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy with his Karnataka counterpart Siddarramaiah and Karnataka Home Minister K J George. "I myself had taken up the issue with Karnataka Chief Minister," Chennithala added.
Madani is among 31 persons charge-sheeted in the case relating to the July 2008 bomb blasts in which one person was killed and 20 others were injured.
