He said one of the "victories" achieved by Tamil Nadu following a "legal battle" in its inter-state water disputes was getting a court verdict allowing storing of water at 142 feet in the dam.
The court had also allowed the water level to be increased upto 152 ft once the dam was strengthened by Tamil Nadu.
"Works are being undertaken to strengthen the Baby Dam with small works according to Supreme Court guidance...Though a request has been made with Kerala government to do these works, it is not extending cooperation. (It is) stopping the strengthening works from being carried out," he said.
The case will come up for hearing next month, he added.
On constituting of the Cauvery Management Board (CMB), he said a case in this regard was scheduled to come up for hearing in the Supreme Court on July 11 and added that the state would press for establishing the CMB.
