KPCC has asked the zonal committees constituted to look into the reasons and causes for the defeat of the Congress-led UDF in the May 16 Assembly polls and to submit their report by July 4.
Talking to reporters after a meeting of zonal committees here, KPCC President V M Sudheeran said committees have been asked to prepare their report impartially.
Any lapses on the part of party leaders would be examined by these committees, he said. Four zonal panels have been constituted to look into the reasons for the state Assembly election debacle suffered by the Congress-led UDF.
On LDF government led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, he alleged that the Chief Minister was protecting the CPI-M cadres "indulging in violence".
"The CPI-M in the state is following the same line of the sangh parivar at the Centre," Sudheeran said alleging that both were following the "fascist route".
"BJP is following communal fascism while CPI-M is following fascism of violence," he added.
"After the polls, CPI-M workers have unleashed attack against Congress offices in the state," he said.
Police was not taking any effective steps to prevent violence, he alleged.
