Top officials of Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS Ltd.), founded by Guru Vagbhatananda in 1925, said work on the first green IT Park in the state had been completed and it will be opened in December.
The Cyber Park is built in 14 acres of land owned by the society in Nellikkunnu village near Kozhikode city.
"It is really a path-breaking initiative. The 10-storey UL Cyber Park is an architectural marvel. Built in 31 lakh sq ft by applying ultra-modern planning guidelines, it has already taken a special place on the world IT map," said society President Ramesan Paleri.
"This new venture is expected to generate 40,000 jobs in the field of Information Technology. It is also expected to provide job opportunities to 100,000 people indirectly," Paleri told PTI.
