In the under-18 boys action, Kerala had mixed results as they first suffered a crushing 94-40 defeat at the hands of mighty Punjab but managed to recover brilliantly in a subsequent match against Maharashtra which they won 64-53.
In the senior division round of matches, it was Kerala who got the better of Punjab in both the men and women
