This would mean 91.868 people in the rural areas and 62.93 lakh people in the urban areas would come under the priority category out of the state's total population of 333.87 lakh as per the 2011 census, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy told reporters after a cabinet meeting here today.
For identifying beneficiaries in the priority category, Taluk level surveys would be conducted based on the norms suggested by a cabinet sub-committee set up for the purpose, he said.
