Kerala Tourism inks MoU with SilkAir for joint promotions

Kerala Tourism today signed an agreement with SilkAir to jointly promote the state as a holiday destination in priority markets, including Australia, New Zealand, China, Korea, Japan and Singapore.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Kerala Tourism and SilkAir, a regional wing of Singapore Airlines, will jointly conduct roadshows and other marketing programmes like tactical and digital marketing, familiarisation trips, trade fairs and product development in the selected cities of these markets, a statement said here.
"This MoU with SilkAir will allow us to attract more travellers from these specific markets. It will also bring direct and indirect benefits to many sectors of the economies of India and these countries," said Kerala Tourism Department Director P Balakiran.
SilkAir General Manager, India, Jagdish Bhojwani, said, "We are delighted to be associated with Kerala Tourism and we look forward to working together on many exciting activities to promote the state as an attractive tourist destination to the world.
"Together with our parent company, Singapore Airlines, we reach out to over 100 destinations around the world and we are confident that our wide network will help in bringing more visitors to the state.
