Kerela Blasters begin pre-season training camp for ISL

Kerela Blasters, runners-up of the first Indian Super League (ISL) football, have started their pre-season training camp here for the second edition of the tournament starting next month.
"Kerala Blasters has kicked off its preparation for Season II with the conditioning camp at Thiruvananthapuram under coach Peter Taylor," Sachin Tendulkar, co-owner of Kerala Blasters, said in a statement.
"The team is practicing at the impressive facility in Thiruvananthapuram and will help them to acclimatize to the conditions and prepare well for the season."
Kerala Blasters were the finalists in the first edition of ISL, losing 0-1 to eventual winners Atletico de Kolkata and the team will look to get one step further when it gets underway on October 3.
"We have some exciting talent added to the team this year. Our performance in the inaugural season will serve as a huge motivation for the entire team to repeat and take it a step further!," Tendulkar said.
"We look forward to yet another exciting season with the continued support of the wonderful fan base of Kerala Blasters."
The Blasters will open their campaign against NorthEast United FC on October 6.
