The 29-year-old star said by sharing her recovery experience, she hoped to help many others, who are still dealing with the disorder, reported Femalefirst.
"I've realized through a long rollercoaster ride of ups and downs that if I'm lucky enough to have a voice someone will listen to, than I should use it for good, for truth.
"And that's why I've recently spoken openly about some of my struggles, including my crippling anxiety and being in recovery from an eating disorder, among many other things.
The singer said it may be intimidating for people to be vocal about it at first but it's important for them to get rid of the disorder.
"I know it's scary, but once you take the first steps to help yourself, your life will completely change in the best ways.
