Singer Kesha had accused her former collaborator Dr Luke of raping Katy Perry in a text message to Lady Gaga, the court documents have revealed.
The documents, which have become public, are related to the ongoing legal battle between Kesha and Dr Luke, whose real name is Lukasz Gottwald.
The text, which was sent in February 2016, did not name Dr. Luke, but said that the other recording artist had been "raped by the same man" who allegedly raped her.
"On Feb. 26, 2016, (Kesha) sent a text message to Stefani Germanotta p/k/a Lady Gaga which repeated (Kesha's) false claim that Gottwald had raped her," Luke's lawyer wrote in the documents which filed May 31.
"In this text message, (Kesha) also falsely asserted that Gottwald had also raped Kathryn Hudson p/k/a Katy Perry. Following this text message conversation, and with (Kesha's) encouragement, Ms. Germanotta spread negative messages about Gottwald in the press and on social media. For example, in February 2016, Ms. Germanotta posted multiple articles discussing defendant defamatory statements on her Twitter page," the documents added.
After the documents became public, Dr Luke's legal team has issued a statement calling, Kesha's text "baseless and irresponsible" and stated that Perry herself confirmed to them that he did not rape her.

"Kesha's accusation to the contrary - just like her other outrageous lies about Dr. Lukeis baseless and irresponsible, and it is disrespectful to both Katy Perry and Dr. Luke," Dr Luke's attorneys said in a statement.
"In his defamation lawsuit against Kesha, Dr Luke seeks damages for the harm caused by these malicious falsehoods," it added.
Kesha and the producer have been embroiled in a bitter legal battle since 2014, when the singer sued her former mentor, alleging sexual assault and emotional abuse.
Dr Luke denied the allegations and countersued Kesha for breach of contract and defamation for USD 50 million.
