Delhi Development Authority member and senior BJP leader Vijender Gupta on Thursday said the civic body has provided a major relief to Delhiites by dropping conversion charges in 100 top markets and relaxing norms for household industrial units in residential areas.
Gupta, also the leader of opposition, said the DDA, in a meeting chaired by Lt Governor Anil Baijal, also approved converting 81 rural villages into urban villages and raising limit of amalgamation of land plots from earlier 64 square metres to 200 square metres.
Baijal tweeted that several key decisions were taken in the meeting.
"Chaired @official_dda Authority meeting. Authority recommended modification of MPD-2021 to simplify setting up of household/service industries & liberalise mode of disposal of institutional category plots to freehold basis," he tweeted.
In another tweet, Baijal said, "Key decisions also include proposed amendments in MPD-2021 to allow amalgamation of residential plots upto 200 sqm & Extension of Time (EOT) for payment for flats booked through online scheme to facilitate allottees."
