The third edition of the festival will be underway at the World Heritage site of Khajuraho temples on December 17.
It will be inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Manoj Shrivastava, principal secretary of MP Culture Department, told reporters this edition of the KFFI would be dedicated to veteran actors - Shashi Kapoor, Om Puri and Tom Alter.
The festival is being organised by the Madhya Pradesh Culture Department in cooperation with Prayas Productions, MP Tourism and the Urban Administration Department, he said.

"For the first time, the KFFI is being organised across three towns of Bundelkhand - Khajuraho, Panna and Chhatarpur. The KFFI would also showcase international movies besides those produced in India," he said.
Raja Bundela, actor and founder of Prayas Productions, said director-producer Shekhar Kapur would be honoured at the fest for his achievements in the international film arena.
Bundela said these film personalities would hold Master Classes and share their insights on acting and filmmaking techniques.
Post the training session, three students would be shortlisted through a competition, who would get the opportunity to be trained by Anupam Kher, Subhash Singh and Ramesh Sippy.
Shrivastava said the government is in the process of formulating a new film policy in the state.
The KFFI closes December 23.
