Khan takes charge as NSUI president

After his appointment as the president of all-India NSUI, party leader from Jammu and Kashmir, Fairoz Khan today formally took over his new assignment to head the students wing of the Congress.
A number of party leaders attended his taking over at the NSUI headquarters at Raisina Road here.
Senior party leader A K Antony, Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Raj Babbar, Assam MP Gaurav Gogoi and the outgoing NSUI chief Amrita Dhawan were among them.
"I congratulate the new President Fairoz Khan, and want to remind him about the serious challenges the student community is facing today," Antony said.
AICC incharge of communications department, Randeep Surjewala and Indian Youth Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja were also present on the occasion.

Party's chief whip in Lok Sabha and Rohtak MP Deepinder Singh Hooda earlier met Khan at his office and congratulated him.
