Khattar announces several development projects for Mewat

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today announced several developmental projects for Mewat region granting funds for construction and repair of several roads, building of schools and other amenities.
Addressing a public meeting at Grain Market of Punhana in Mewat today Khattar said unlike previous governments, the BJP government would not "discriminate" against the region.
While the CM fulfilled almost all demands put forth by the local Independent MLA Rahis Khan and Chairman of Haryana Gau Sewa Commission Bhani Ram Mangla he announced 5 crore for municipalities and 10 crore for rural areas.
This amount will be in addition to the Rs 13 crore released earlier, he said.
He announced construction of Gram Sachivalaya in villages, a PWD Rest House in Pinangwa or Punhana, new 'Vyayamshalas' in 10 villages, if 2 acres of land is available.
He also announced repair of five existing sports stadiums, providing full staff at Arohi School from next session and upgradation of two police posts to police station in Punhana.

He approved Rs 8.5 crore for construction of 29 km roads in rural areas through Marketing Board besides announcing construction and repair of several other roads.
Emphasising on the education for girls he announced resumption 50 seats of Urdu classes for girls in Government Elementary Teachers Institute and 50 per cent reservation for Mewat students in ANM course in Punhana Nursing College.
The Chief Minister said the government is ready to open a degree college in the district provided enough students were available for admissions.
He also announced opening of a driving school and 19 new schools.
He also announced providing lifter at a cost of Rs 6 crore on Ujina drain near village Bichore and a Dental College if enough students are available.
He said this is his fourth visit to the district after becoming CM. "I don't know why Mewat attracted me," he said.
He attacked his predecessors alleging they had "neglected" this is land of heroes and warriors who contributed in the Freedom struggle.
He said skill upgradation opportunities would also be provided to youth in Mewat so that they can become employable.
